John Elliott sweatshirts: what owners report

The sweats range anchors the brand's reputation: its French terry is knit to custom specifications, and enthusiast guides describe the terry as comfortable and durable, while a hands-on review of the flagship hoodie called the proportions precise and said it looks and feels expensive. Owner complaints center less on the sweatshirts themselves than on price and after-sales service — Reddit threads document quality flaws on other items being declined by customer service as wear-and-tear, with commenters noting such stories are not uncommon. Several owners say full retail is hard to justify and advise buying mainline colorways on sale or secondhand.

Strengths
Reviewers single out the fit and the custom-knit terry — precise proportions and a fabric that holds its shape while staying comfortable.
Watch out for
Recurring reports of customer service writing off quality flaws as wear-and-tear, plus broad owner agreement that full retail pricing is poor value.
Sizing
Slim-fit hoodies run true to size with advice to size up one if you have broad shoulders; oversized styles are cut intentionally big, so size down one for a regular fit.
