Privacy Policy

This page explains what data Shop Smart, Wear Confidence collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We aim to keep this short and plain — read it once and you should know what's happening.

What we collect

• Browsing analytics. Pages you visit, referrer, browser, and rough geographic region (from IP). We use this to understand which reviews are useful and to detect abuse.
• Affiliate clickthroughs. When you click a retailer link, the Skimlinks JavaScript snippet may rewrite the link and record the click. See Skimlinks' own privacy policy for details.
• Try-on photos (if you use the feature). A photo you upload or capture is sent to our image-generation provider so we can return a composited try-on image. We do not store your photo on our servers after the request completes. We do not use your photo to train models.
• Settings & preferences. Choices like your selected comparison items, API keys (if you supplied your own), and your try-on photo (if you opted to keep it for repeat use) are stored in your browser's localStorage — they never leave your device.

What we don't collect

• We don't require an account, so we don't hold names, emails, or passwords by default.
• We don't sell your data to anyone.
• We don't use third-party advertising trackers beyond what Skimlinks runs.

Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies for session continuity and analytics. Skimlinks may set its own cookies when you click an affiliate link — these allow it to attribute commissions. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time; the site will still work.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data we hold about you, request its deletion, or object to processing. To exercise any of these, email us via the Contact page and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Changes to this policy

When we make material changes, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We may also note significant changes in a banner on the homepage.
