The verdict

A women's loopback hoodie in classic British fit—solid mid-tier choice if neat proportions matter for your body.

Fit

Women's loopback from Sunspel runs fitted through the shoulders and waist without being tight. Expect a shaped, tailored silhouette relative to unisex hoodies.

Quality

Same quality loopback weave as the men's line—soft, breathable cotton with strong seams. The tailored cut gives it a more polished appearance.

Price check

At 165 GBP, this is fair pricing for a quality women's loopback hoodie. You're paying for Sunspel's construction and the advantage of a women's-specific fit.

Best for

Women shoppers who prefer classic British basics and want a hoodie cut for female proportions.

Care

Warm water wash; tumble dry low. The fitted waist may show creases if not dried promptly—lay flat if you prefer smooth lines.

What owners report about Sunspel hoodies

Coverage of Sunspel's hooded sweats centers on the loopback cotton used across the range. Owner reviews describe a fine, tightly knitted fabric that is softer and noticeably more pilling-resistant than typical sweatshirts, with shape holding up through repeated washes. The trade-off owners cite is weight and price: some wish the fabric were heavier, the sweatshirt retails around $165, and care is fussier than a basic hoodie — gentle 30°C wash, no tumble drying.

Strengths: Owners report the loopback cotton resists pilling and keeps its shape wash after wash while staying soft against the skin.
Watch out for: Some owners find the fabric lighter than they'd like for a winter-weight hoodie, and the pieces carry a premium price with care instructions that rule out the dryer.
Sizing: Reviewers report a true-to-size, regular-but-neat cut that follows the body without being slim.
