The verdict

A maternity version of the Joey bermuda at 64 USD—thoughtful engineering without inflating the cost of a familiar silhouette.

Fit

Maternity Joey includes a flexible waistband and panel support. The bermuda length reads neutral; true-to-size in pre-pregnancy sizing.

Quality

Joey maternity maintains the brand's standard seaming while adding panel durability. The engineering is solid for pregnancy wear.

Price check

64 USD for a maternity short is reasonable, especially in a recognizable silhouette. The added engineering doesn't dramatically inflate cost.

Best for

Pregnant shoppers who want a familiar Joe's fit adapted for their changing body without hunting for a new brand.

Care

Wash cold inside-out and lay flat to dry to preserve the panel elasticity.

What owners report about Joe's Jeans shorts

Coverage of Joe's shorts is thin next to the jeans line, and what exists leans on the same soft stretch denim. Owners describe the fabric as soft and comfortable, and one shorts style is reviewed positively for its comfort and elastic waistband, with shorts priced over a hundred dollars. Durability reports are mostly good — one owner says a pair "holds up to so much wear and tear" — but an editor round-up notes repeat buyers reporting inconsistencies in material stretch and thickness compared to past purchases.

Strengths: Owners consistently praise the soft, stretchy denim as comfortable and flattering, and say it keeps its shape after washing.
Watch out for: Repeat buyers report fabric inconsistency — the stretch and thickness of the same style can differ from one purchase to the next.
Sizing: Reports conflict: one review guide says the brand runs true to size, while another finds the fit slightly generous and suggests ordering a size down.
