Claíochaí Scarf

The craft of dry stone walling, a traditional island activity passed through the generations, is the inspiration for this stylish Scarf from our Claíochaí , or stonewall, range. Each wall is built by hand using stones of random shapes and sizes. Our intricate design uses a variety of stitches to emulate the patterns created, such as plated moss stitch, plated moss rib stitch, plated caterpillar stitch, plated brick stitch, and embossed leaf stitch.

The Claíochaí Scarf has a luxurious width and generous length for ultimate warmth and versatility of styling, and when worn around the shoulders it becomes a uniquely elegant shawl. Crafted with super-premium Cashmere and Merino yarn from Italian heritage producer, Filati Biagioli Modesto, made to the highest European environmental standards using only organic dyes. Measures 37 cm x 172 cm.

Available in Beige Fleck and Charcoal Fleck, using the knitting technique of plating to create a deeper palette and pattern distinction. Designed, made and hand-finished in our Aran Islands workshop.
