Cashmere Original Aran Mock Neck

New this season is our much-loved Original Aran Mock Neck in our beautifully soft Cashmere and Merino blended yarn. Aran patterns were passed down within Island families with pride, signifying the deep-rooted familial craft heritage of the Aran Islands. Inis Meáin's signature Patented Aran pattern has the distinction of being held in the collection of the National Museum of Ireland. Unique to Inis Meáin, the intricate composition of this fine cable knit pattern creates a tailored, classic look reminiscent of the strong twists of the Island fishing ropes. A distinctive traditional sweater with a cosy roll trim mock neck and streamline cabling flanking the iconic Original Aran motif, also carried on a saddle shoulder down to meet the cable cuff. Crafted with super-premium Cashmere and Merino yarn from Italian heritage producer, Filati Biagioli Modesto, made to the highest European environmental standards using only organic dyes.

Available in classic Black and warm Tan Fleck, a luxurious camel with flecks of cream, rust and chocolate brown. Designed, made and hand-finished in our Aran Islands workshop.
