The verdict

A fine cheap pick at $13.80 for a basic training short, but this price reads like a markdown, not the norm.

Fit

Vital is Gymshark's core basic line, so expect a relaxed, true-to-size mid-rise cut with soft-touch fabric rather than a compressive fit.

Quality

At this price point, construction is basic — simple seams and a wash-and-wear fabric typical of an entry-level line, not built for heavy daily rotation.

Price check

At $13.80 this sits in budget territory and is a fair deal if the price holds; at Gymshark's usual full price it would be closer to mid-tier.

Best for

Someone wanting a low-cost, casual training short to try the fit before committing to pricier lines.

Care

Machine wash cold and skip high heat to protect the soft-touch finish.

What owners report about Gymshark shorts

Across Gymshark's shorts range, owners consistently report the fit runs true to size with a stretchy, comfortable waistband, and the heavier training styles hold up through repeated sweaty sessions and washes without issue -- one owner said a pair 'came out good as new' after three workouts and a wash. Quality is less consistent on the thinner, budget-priced lines: reviewers describe some shorts as feeling like 'a sandwich bag on your legs,' with logos peeling off after a single wear and fabric snagging into holes early on.

Strengths: Owners across multiple lines report the fit runs true to size with a stretchy feel that holds up through repeated sweaty workouts and washes.
Watch out for: The thinner, budget-priced shorts draw recurring complaints about flimsy, plastic-feeling fabric, snagged holes, and logos peeling off after a single wear.
Sizing: Most owners across the range report the shorts fit true to size.
