The verdict

A casual mesh short built more for looks than serious training; fine at this price for a low-cost basketball-style short.

Fit

Loose, basketball-short cut typical of the brand's Campus Mesh line, true to size with room through the leg rather than a fitted look.

Quality

Expect breathable mesh construction typical of casual shorts at this price, not built for heavy structured lifting use.

Price check

At $11.40 this sits at the budget end for mesh shorts generally, a fair price for a casual piece.

Best for

Casual wear or pickup basketball rather than serious lifting or running.

Care

Machine wash cold and hang dry to keep the mesh from pilling.

What owners report about Gymshark shorts

Across Gymshark's shorts range, owners consistently report the fit runs true to size with a stretchy, comfortable waistband, and the heavier training styles hold up through repeated sweaty sessions and washes without issue -- one owner said a pair 'came out good as new' after three workouts and a wash. Quality is less consistent on the thinner, budget-priced lines: reviewers describe some shorts as feeling like 'a sandwich bag on your legs,' with logos peeling off after a single wear and fabric snagging into holes early on.

Strengths: Owners across multiple lines report the fit runs true to size with a stretchy feel that holds up through repeated sweaty workouts and washes.
Watch out for: The thinner, budget-priced shorts draw recurring complaints about flimsy, plastic-feeling fabric, snagged holes, and logos peeling off after a single wear.
Sizing: Most owners across the range report the shorts fit true to size.
