The verdict

The same budget mesh lifting short as the rest of the line — a reasonable pick if you want a short inseam.

Fit

5-inch inseam runs short and athletic; expect a fitted mesh build, and it may include a liner, so confirm on the listing.

Quality

At $12 this is entry-tier performance fabric — lightweight and functional rather than heavy-duty.

What owners report about Gymshark shorts

Across Gymshark's shorts range, owners consistently report the fit runs true to size with a stretchy, comfortable waistband, and the heavier training styles hold up through repeated sweaty sessions and washes without issue -- one owner said a pair 'came out good as new' after three workouts and a wash. Quality is less consistent on the thinner, budget-priced lines: reviewers describe some shorts as feeling like 'a sandwich bag on your legs,' with logos peeling off after a single wear and fabric snagging into holes early on.

Strengths: Owners across multiple lines report the fit runs true to size with a stretchy feel that holds up through repeated sweaty workouts and washes.
Watch out for: The thinner, budget-priced shorts draw recurring complaints about flimsy, plastic-feeling fabric, snagged holes, and logos peeling off after a single wear.
Sizing: Most owners across the range report the shorts fit true to size.
