The verdict

A safe, versatile choice if buying at full price for a black training hoodie; better value if caught on sale like other colorways in the line.

Fit

Standard cut for this training hoodie line, likely boxy-adjacent; true to size for most, consistent with other listings in the range.

Quality

As a best-selling black colorway in the training line, expect consistent functional fleece construction suited to gym wear.

Price check

$64 full price is upper mid-tier for a training hoodie; notably higher than this same line's discounted colorways, so this piece carries more of a full-price premium.

Best for

Someone wanting a versatile black training hoodie for regular gym or casual wear.

Care

Wash cold with like colors to prevent fading of the black dye.

What owners report about Gymshark hoodies

Reviewers who test the range rate the hoodies as its strongest pieces: one hands-on tester called the Crest hoodie his preferred gym hoodie after trying more expensive options, describing a slim fit that is not tight, raglan sleeves, and a kangaroo pocket. The heavyweight rest-day line is reviewed as genuinely heavy — 400 gsm loopback fabric with a roomy oversized fit reviewers find warm and soft. A buyer guide reports tops and hoodies tend to outlast the brand's leggings, though detailed long-term wash-and-wear reporting on hoodies specifically is thin. Aggregated buyer feedback rates the standard Crest fit true to size, while oversized versions run very large.

Strengths: hoodies outperform the rest of the range in hands-on reviews; heavyweight lines are genuinely thick and warm
Watch out for: oversized cuts run very large; little detailed long-term durability reporting on the hoodies themselves
Sizing: standard Crest fit true to size per aggregated buyer feedback; oversized styles run notably big
