The verdict

A cheap, casual short better suited to lounging or off-day wear than serious training, priced accordingly.

Fit

Likely a relaxed, everyday cut rather than a compressive training fit given the rest-day positioning; true to size expected for a casual short.

Quality

At $12, this is entry-level even for Gymshark's casual range, so expect basic fabric and construction suited to light, occasional wear rather than heavy gym use.

Price check

The low price fairly reflects a basic casual short; it's a fair budget buy as long as expectations stay modest.

Best for

Someone who wants a cheap, comfortable short for lounging or errands rather than training.

Care

Machine wash cold and tumble dry low, typical care for a casual cotton-blend short.

What owners report about Gymshark shorts

Across Gymshark's shorts range, owners consistently report the fit runs true to size with a stretchy, comfortable waistband, and the heavier training styles hold up through repeated sweaty sessions and washes without issue -- one owner said a pair 'came out good as new' after three workouts and a wash. Quality is less consistent on the thinner, budget-priced lines: reviewers describe some shorts as feeling like 'a sandwich bag on your legs,' with logos peeling off after a single wear and fabric snagging into holes early on.

Strengths: Owners across multiple lines report the fit runs true to size with a stretchy feel that holds up through repeated sweaty workouts and washes.
Watch out for: The thinner, budget-priced shorts draw recurring complaints about flimsy, plastic-feeling fabric, snagged holes, and logos peeling off after a single wear.
Sizing: Most owners across the range report the shorts fit true to size.
