The verdict

At 475, this mainline wide leg relies entirely on fabric quality and seam integrity to justify premium pricing.

Fit

Wide leg cut with a relaxed, contemporary proportion. Clay colorway suggests a neutral, earthy base; true to size likely.

Quality

Fear of God mainline delivers on-brand construction standards with attention to seam placement and knit quality.

Price check

Premium tier pricing. Justifiable only if the loop-back is substantive and finishing details set it apart from basics offerings.

Best for

Design-forward dressers and brand-committed shoppers who prioritize aesthetic and build quality.

Care

Standard cold wash; inspect cuffs and hems periodically, as wide-leg silhouettes can develop stress points.

What owners report about Fear of God sweatpants

Reviewers call sweatpants the strongest category in the Fear of God Essentials line, mostly on the strength of the proportions: a relaxed, slightly tapered leg with an elastic waist and cuffs that sits between baggy and fitted. The same coverage is blunt that the fabric is good rather than exceptional, with a brand premium built into the price. Reviewers also note past-season pairs often sell at or below retail on resale platforms, which improves the value.

Strengths: Reviewers rate the fit and proportions — a subtle taper and a rise that sits comfortably — as the main reason to buy.
Watch out for: The consistent caveat is that material quality is good, not great, and part of the price is the name rather than the fabric.
Sizing: The fit is oversized, and sizing guides consistently recommend going down one size from your usual.
