The verdict

A reasonably priced licensed NBA tee; buy it for the graphic and team pride, not for anything special in construction.

Fit

"90s" styling suggests a boxier, slightly cropped or looser body than a modern slim tee, in the brand's familiar relaxed shape. True to size should work for most.

Quality

This reads as a standard mid-weight cotton graphic tee typical of licensed sports merch; don't expect it to be built differently from any other team tee at this price.

Price check

$45 is fair for a licensed NBA graphic tee, actually on the lower end for the category once you factor in the license fee plus the ESSENTIALS name.

Best for

An NBA fan who wants a team tee with a recognizable streetwear label attached.

Care

Wash inside out in cold water to protect the printed graphic from cracking.

What owners report about ESSENTIALS t-shirts

Reviewers describe the tees as heavier and more substantial than typical basics at this price point, which is called out as the line's main quality signal. The fabric is treated as delicate rather than tough: wash guides warn that heat from a washing machine or dryer can shrink the shirts, so hand-washing cold and air-drying is the recommended care routine. The cut runs boxy and oversized rather than fitted.

Strengths: The heavier cotton weight is repeatedly cited as the reason the tees feel like better quality than similarly priced basics.
Watch out for: The fabric is treated as shrink-prone under heat, so machine washing hot or tumble drying is flagged as a risk.
Sizing: The fit runs boxy and oversized; guides recommend sizing down one full size for a trimmer look, or staying true to size for the intended relaxed silhouette.
