The verdict

A bold, reasonably priced pick if metallic distressed denim is the look you want; not a basic short by any measure.

Fit

Likely a shorter, fitted cut typical of fashion denim shorts; expect true to size but check preferred length.

Quality

Metallic coatings and distressing are labor-intensive finishes with variable execution, but this is an area where Diesel typically invests real effort.

Price check

At $137, this sits in a more accessible range for the specialty finish involved — reasonable value for a directional statement piece.

Best for

Someone wanting an eye-catching metallic denim short for going out rather than daily wear.

Care

Minimize washing; spot clean and air dry to protect the metallic coating.

What owners report about Diesel shorts

Trustpilot reviewers for the diesel.com storefront report recurring construction problems on Diesel's shorts and denim: one buyer specifically noted 'seams come away on shorts' after normal wear, and others describe sizing as inconsistent from one order to the next, needing multiple reorders to land on the right fit. Design-wise, reviewers consistently call out the line's hand-finished washes and hardware -- engraved rivets, embossed patches, metal logo trims -- as its most distinctive strength. The recurring complaint isn't initial fit or styling but durability: reviewers say the shorts don't hold up as long as the price would suggest.

Strengths: Reviewers consistently point to the hand-finished washes and hardware details -- engraved rivets, embossed leather patches, metal logo trims -- as the line's most distinctive strength.
Watch out for: Trustpilot reviewers report seams coming apart on the shorts and general material failure with normal wear, despite the premium price point.
Sizing: Consider sizing up if you're between sizes -- reviewers report Diesel running small and sizing being inconsistent from one order to the next.
