Coraje Tech Short - Women's
The verdict
Fit
The 7-inch inseam indicates a mid-thigh length. Coraje is Cotopaxi's technical line; expect a more fitted, athletic cut than casual Ambato or Cambio styles.
Quality
Coraje uses Cotopaxi's durable synthetic blends with attention to seams and pocket construction. This is the brand's mid-to-premium tier.
Price check
At $32, reasonable pricing for a technical short. Not budget, but justified by the fabric quality and outdoor-tested design.
Best for
Women who hike, travel, or do outdoor activity and want a proven technical short without premium brand positioning.
Care
Check care tags for any water-resistant coatings; gentle wash and air-dry are typically best for tech fabrics.

What owners report about Cotopaxi shorts
Reviewers who tested Cotopaxi's shorts describe light, quick-drying recycled-nylon fabric that handles water well — one tester's pair dried completely in under 30 minutes after full submersion. They read as one-pair-does-everything shorts for day hikes, swimming, and casual wear rather than rugged trail gear: the thinner material can snag or fade on high-impact terrain, and the built-in mesh liner drew chafing complaints on longer hikes in hot weather. A tester of the women's Vamos style reported all-day comfort and never needing to adjust the shorts mid-hike.
- Strengths
- Fast-drying, swim-ready shorts that reviewers rate highly for short hikes, water days, and casual wear in one garment.
- Watch out for
- The built-in mesh liner is the recurring complaint — reviewers report chafing on longer hot-weather wear — and the light fabric isn't rated for rugged, multi-day use.
- Sizing
- Reviewers describe the Brinco cut as a slim fit with a short inseam that may not suit larger builds.
