Price: 18.75 USD

Shorts

$19

The verdict

An ultra-affordable athletic short for basic training; good price-to-use ratio.

Fit

No specific inseam or fit detail implied; typical Champion practice cut—simple and true to size.

Quality

Practice shorts are entry-level synthetic—designed for workouts and training, not durability. Seams can loosen, fabric pills with age.

Price check

At $15, you're buying disposable athletic wear. No frills, zero brand premium.

Best for

Budget-conscious gym-goers or someone stocking up on throwaway training shorts.

Care

Machine wash and tumble dry; this is durable enough for regular washing but not meant to last years.

What owners report about Champion shorts

Owners are broadly positive on comfort for the price. Zappos reviewers on the 7-inch hybrid short praise the fabric as thin, light, and comfortable, and varsity-short buyers describe them as light and breathable with good workmanship. Cotton gym short buyers like the soft cotton and call them a good value. Walmart reviewers are more split on the budget styles, with some reporting the material feels thinner than it used to and the elastic wearing out within a year or two of light use.

Strengths: Lightweight, breathable, comfortable athletic shorts that most owners consider good value at their low price.
Watch out for: Recurring complaints on the cheaper styles are thin material and elastic that gives out after a year or two of wear.
Sizing: Most reviewers report the shorts fit true to size, though some say certain styles run large and one hybrid-short buyer found them shorter than expected.
