Button-Ups

$750

The verdict

A cotton camp shirt at $750; reasonable mid-luxury pricing for natural fiber, though brand positioning drives much of the cost.

Fit

Camp collar with a relaxed, boxy fit through the shoulders and body; expect an oversized, intentionally loose silhouette.

Quality

Cotton is durable and breathable, offering good longevity and comfort; typical quality for this mid-luxury price tier.

Price check

At $750 for cotton, the price is justified by designer positioning and silhouette novelty rather than exceptional fiber or construction.

Best for

Summer entertaining and those seeking a designer camp shirt that offers both breathability and visual statement.

Care

Machine wash warm and dry on low heat; occasional pressing on the collar keeps the camp-shirt look intentional.

What owners report about Amiri button-ups

Owner reports on Amiri's button-up shirts center on construction: one Styleforum buyer said five or six of the brand's button-ups each lost buttons within the first couple of wears, and a second poster replied that his shirts lost a button as well. The same discussion rated the brand's stack denim above its shirting. Editorial coverage describes the shirts as slim and snug in fit with hand-finished detailing, while customer reviews on aggregate sites say durability falls short of what the price suggests.

Strengths: Reviewers credit the distinctive design and hand-finishing such as distressing and embroidery, and owners speak more favorably of the brand's denim than of its shirts.
Watch out for: The most repeated complaint is buttons detaching within the first few wears, alongside broader reports that garment durability does not match the premium price.
Sizing: Coverage describes the cut as slim and snug through the body, so buyers who want a looser fit are advised to size up.
