The verdict

A design-driven chore coat in sueded sateen; the $299 price reflects the Art Project positioning and specialty fabric.

Fit

Modern chore coat silhouette with relaxed proportions. Sueded stretch sateen (fabric code "SUD") will have a softer hand than cotton canvas.

Quality

Specialty fabric (sueded sateen) is typical of AG's Art Project experimentalism. Construction quality matches the price; the sateen is less durable than canvas for heavy wear.

Price check

Premium for a chore coat due to fabric choice and design collaboration. At $299, expect art-piece positioning rather than everyday utility wear value.

Best for

Shoppers drawn to AG's Art Project aesthetic willing to prioritize design and feel over raw durability.

Care

Sueded fabrics are delicate; spot-clean when possible and dry clean for deeper cleaning to avoid pilling.

What owners report about AG Jeans jackets & outerwear

Owners of the trucker and denim jackets report that they fit true to size, with several noting the cut is roomy enough to layer a sweater underneath. Buyers praise the denim itself, calling the fit great and the fabric awesome, and describe the pieces as substantial rather than cheap. A recurring theme is that the jackets feel worth the higher price once worn.

Strengths: Reviewers consistently praise the fit and the quality of the denim, with more than one calling it close to a perfect denim jacket.
Watch out for: Buyers repeatedly flag that the jackets are not inexpensive, framing them as a splurge.
Sizing: Reviewers report the jackets run true to size and leave room to layer.
