The verdict

Mid-priced shimmer tank for event wear—a decent entry to 7FAM if the sparkle finish appeals to you.

Fit

Long tanks typically offer generous room through the torso and shoulders; 7FAM tends true to size.

Quality

Shimmer finishes can be applied to various bases; at this price tier, expect moderate durability and modest sheen retention over washes.

Price check

At $229 USD, reasonable for a designer brand; shimmer detail justifies some premium over basic tanks.

Best for

Event and night-out wearers who want a polished look without the full commitment of a dress.

Care

Hand wash cool water to preserve shimmer; lay flat and avoid direct heat to extend the finish's life.

What owners report about 7 For All Mankind tops

Independent coverage of the non-denim line is limited, but the one detailed review calls the tees and shirts 'competent but not distinguished' next to the house's denim, singling out a $78 tee as fitting no better than a shirt costing about $30 less and telling shoppers to skip it. That critique is balanced by retailer data: the brand's Feather Weight Crewneck Tee, a lightweight pima-cotton crewneck, holds a 4.4-out-of-5 average across 18 verified buyer reviews at a major department store, meaning most people who actually bought it came away satisfied even though editorial attention to the tee line is otherwise thin.

Strengths: Verified buyers of the pima-cotton crewneck tee rate it well on average (4.4 out of 5 across 18 reviews) despite the tee line getting little editorial attention.
Watch out for: The one in-depth independent review calls the tees and shirts 'competent but not distinguished' and says a tee at this price fits no better than notably cheaper alternatives, advising shoppers skip it.
