True Religion

Hands-on testers report the current denim is genuinely well built: both a menswear and womenswear reviewer found the pieces "feel well constructed, and the denim feels high-quality," with the five-needle, two-stitch-per-inch Super T stitching and metal hardware called out as real quality markers rather than decoration. The biggest complaint is stretch behavior — one tester's stretch pair loosened so much through a day of wear that the seat went baggy, while the men's pair held its fit through multiple washes. Forum owners add that sizing does not follow one rule; it depends on the specific cut and wash. Value verdicts are mixed: construction gets praise, but one review concluded cheaper denim performs comparably.

Strengths

Sturdy-feeling denim with signature heavy stitching and quality hardware that testers found held up through repeated washing.

Watch out for

Stretch-blend pairs can bag out over a day of wear, and inseams come long (32"/34" only), so shorter buyers may need hemming.

Sizing

Waist tested true to size on some cuts, but owners say sizing "really depends on the style and the wash" — check per style rather than assuming one size.
